What is the NYSERDA On-Site Energy Manager (OsEM) Program?

Facilities in high-energy industries like manufacturing, healthcare, education, and commercial real estate face growing decarbonization and compliance challenges. NYSERDA's OsEM program helps eligible New York facilities embed a part-time or full-time energy manager for up to two years with NYSERDA covering 75% of costs up to $200K, and in some cases for non-profit hospitals up to 100% of the costs.

Environ is a trusted partner with NYSERDA and helps organizations:

  • Identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • Submit applications to secure funding.
  • Engage in strategic planning, feasibility studies, communications, data collection, and reporting.
  • Drive managerial and behavioral change.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Account for a facility’s approach to energy efficiency and productivity improvements.

How Delayed Decisions Create Risks and Escalate Costs.

An Energy Manager helps you stay proactive to avoid operational, financial, and environmental risks. They're focused on systematically analyzing, controlling, and optimizing a facility’s energy usage to reduce costs, conserve resources, and minimize environmental impact.

The Hidden Costs of Not Having an Energy Manager:

  • Leaving free money on the table is a missed opportunity.
  • Rising energy costs strain budgets.
  • Deferred maintenance leads to costly breakdowns.
  • Non-compliance with regulations results in costly fines.
  • Falling behind risks reputational damage in sustainability leadership.
